Who we are

Will to Way is a nonprofit corporation formed in Kentucky in 2018 and recognised by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are a small, local organization: our sincere desire is to be a blessing to the homeless and fragilely housed right here at home.

We serve Scottsville and the surrounding communities in Allen County. The work is carried by volunteers, by local businesses who give their time and trade, and by neighbours who bring what they have.

More about the organization

Will to Way exists to restore hope, one act of kindness at a time.

The Care Village

The Care Village is a mobile community providing showers, toiletries, food, haircuts, and so much more. Our community donates food, supplies, services, and more — what we get, we give.

  • Mobile showers

A hot shower, privacy, and a towel — brought to where people already are, rather than asking them to travel for it.

  • A hot meal, shared

Sometimes a hot meal with friends is all you need to lift your spirits and restore your hope. Volunteers and guests eat together.

With Beautiful You Boutique and Cafe
  • Haircuts and grooming

There is nothing quite like the feeling of a fresh haircut or beard trim. Grooming at the Village is free to guests.

    With The Hair Nook
  • Toiletries and clean clothes

Soap, shampoo, towels, and fresh socks and underwear, available to guests after they shower.

  • Fresh produce and pantry items

Guests take home fresh produce and pantry staples, gathered and coordinated by local young people.

With Interact Club, a division of Scottsville Rotary
  • A way through to other help

If we are not able to help you directly, we would be honored to put you in touch with someone who can.

If you need a hand

Call or email us. If we are not able to help you directly, we would be honored to put you in touch with someone who can. Regardless of your current situation, we want you to know there is hope.

What we can help with

If you want to give

We are always looking for volunteers, as well as new ideas and services to offer our community. We also collect the practical things our guests need most — coats, socks, towels, toiletries, sleeping bags.

Ways to help

It takes a village

Our volunteers — the Village People — offer their hearts as well as their time, and local businesses give their trade so that guests do not have to pay for it. The organization is led by Susan Wimpee, its President and Director.
